Screen playlists and scheduling

Decide what appears on a screen, in which order and at what time of day.

A playlist should guide its audience

A playlist puts images, videos and other materials into a playback sequence. Start with the time people spend near the screen. Someone passing a shop window needs a shorter message than a visitor waiting at reception.

Group materials around a shared purpose. Today's offer, a full price list and an employee instruction do not have to compete in the same loop. Separating them into zones or playlists also makes later updates easier to manage.

Different content in the morning and evening

Scheduling can account for hours, weekdays and campaign start and end dates. A restaurant can separate breakfast from its evening offer, while a store can distinguish everyday communication from a weekend promotion. The scope of advanced scheduling depends on the plan.

Check changes and exceptions before launch

Compare the playback plan with the site's opening hours. Include holidays, promotion end dates and the content that should remain afterwards. Check that local exceptions do not conflict with the program shared across the network. A test on the actual display helps assess legibility and playlist pacing together.

What should you decide before publishing?

  • The purpose and audience of each playlist.
  • Individual playback times and total loop length.
  • Campaign hours, days and active dates.
  • Included locations and local exceptions.
  • The content that will follow the campaign.

FAQ

Questions about this solution

Can I prepare a promotion in advance?
Yes. Signivo supports schedules and campaign dates. Choose a plan with the scheduling scope you need, then check the settings for the selected screens before launch.
Is a playlist the same as a layout?
No. A playlist controls the sequence of materials over time; a layout controls where information sits on the screen. The two can work together.
