How to plan a digital signage deployment

A useful plan connects the communication goal, technical conditions and the daily work of the person maintaining the screen.

1. Define the purpose and audience of each screen

Write down who views a screen and what they should remember. Avoid one vague objective for unrelated zones. A counter menu, shop window and employee display need different materials. Define a pilot outcome too, such as readable offers or a local operator completing an update without assistance.

Preparing a plan for a screen deployment

2. List locations and infrastructure

For each site, collect a photo, power availability, connectivity method and mounting plan. Include working hours and service access. To retain existing TVs, list their models and inputs. For a branch network, use consistent names for the location, zone and device.

3. Prepare content and assign responsibility

Prepare the first playlist and template before the screen is installed. Assign content creation, publishing and ownership of local information. Decide when outdated materials are removed. For dashboards, confirm permissions, sign-in and integration availability in the selected plan.

4. Test the process before expanding

A pilot should use actual content, its intended location and the future dashboard user. Test updates, schedule changes, a device restart and temporary internet loss. Record findings about readability and operation. Then refine hardware, configuration and training requirements for the next screens.

Signivo offers a 30-day trial. Use it to walk through the workflow, rather than only looking at the interface. Agree in advance on the hardware and conditions needed to test your specific use case.

FAQ

Questions about this solution

How many screens should a pilot include?
Choose representative locations and content. One display may be enough for a simple use case, while a network with different conditions benefits from testing more than one type of location.
Do I have to arrange installation myself?
No. Signivo deployment can include selection, supply, mounting, cabling, configuration and training. The scope is agreed around your site's requirements.
