Which display should you choose for digital signage?
Choose a digital signage screen by location, lighting, working hours, orientation and mounting. Practical questions to answer before buying hardware.
Hardware
A compact device connecting a television or monitor to your content management system.
Signivo Player receives prepared content and sends a picture to the display through HDMI. You manage content in a browser dashboard, while the internet connection lets the device receive updates. Each campaign change can then be delivered without someone operating the television on site.
A basic installation includes a screen, player, HDMI connection, power and network access. Plan space for the device and access to its cables before mounting. This helps with both initial setup and later troubleshooting.
The player stores downloaded materials and can continue playing them during temporary connection loss. This does not mean that live information keeps updating: new campaigns and external data sources need a connection. Test your own playlists and integrations by disconnecting the network during the pilot.
An ordinary television with HDMI may be a starting point. Intensive use, challenging light or unusual mounting conditions require a separate display assessment. Player supply terms depend on the contract; the Signivo pricing page describes current amounts and the contract option that includes a player.
