Network oversight
Device status helps identify a problem and direct the next check to the right location.
Publishing content is only part of running a display network. You also need to know whether devices are available. Signivo provides status information, monitoring and remote configuration to help oversee screens spread across branches.
When assessing a situation, compare location, last activity and expected working hours. A device disconnected after closing needs a different response from a screen that becomes unavailable during business hours.
Player connectivity and the physical picture on a television are separate parts of the installation. When investigating, check power, the selected HDMI input, the network connection and assigned content in sequence. A short local checklist can help staff determine where the problem occurs.
Assign a network owner and decide when statuses are reviewed. For important screens, name someone on site who can help. During the pilot, disconnect the internet and turn off the display to learn how to distinguish those situations. Match remote actions to your hardware and plan rather than assuming every fault can be fixed from a dashboard.
